The weapons in FF15 Comrades can have upgrades in a number of areas including the game's basic stats - Strength (STR), Vitality (VIT), Magic (MAG) and Spirit (SPI) - incidentally, this is the order these things are in on the menu and in the screenshot above (see the bottom right). For example, if your Katana has at least 30 STR (Strength) stat, it can then be turned into a Warblade, the next wepaon up its evolutionary chain.
